Our fragrant Palo Santo wood is hand cut and sustainably sourced in Peru and is great for cleansing and clearing your house of negative vibes and energy. It has a mild woody, citrus scent that is a lighter alternative to sage.
The word Palo Santo means "Holy Wood" in Spanish. It has a long spiritual history, references to this tree date back to the Incan era, when it was used in rituals and ceremonies. This sacred tree is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.
Healers and shamans of South America believe that Palo Santo has a strong spirit that has to be treated with respect. The spirit continues to live in the wood long after the tree has fallen, and when treated properly, will assist in restoring your physical and energetic wellbeing.
This is one of the reasons that properly harvested Palo Santo trees are never cut down, and the wood and essential oils can only be extracted no earlier than 3 years after the natural death of the tree.

Our supplier is located in Peru and is a small business themselves, they work alongside rural communities to sustainably harvest this beautiful wood.
They also support these communities by helping set up sustainable agriculture and planting of new Palo Santo trees. They are truly committed to their land and people, which is why we have chosen their business to partner with.
How to Use
Light one end until the flame catches and let burn for 10 seconds, blow out and let smoke as your walk around the space/person/object you are cleansing. Repeat your intentions while you do it.
Care and Safety
Always cleans in well ventilated areas. NEVER leave the stick burning. Either stub out on an incense plate/bowl, or in water.
